The sight of dust-red elephant wallowing, rolling and spraying each other with the midnight blue waters of palm-shaded Galana River is one of the most evocative images in Africa. This, along with the 300 kilomtere long Yatta Plateau, the longest lava flow in the world, make for an adventure unlike any other in the Tsavo East.

The park forms the largest protected area in Kenya and is home to most of the larger mammals, vast herds of dust –red elephant, Rhino, buffalo, lion, leopard, pods of hippo, crocodile, waterbucks, lesser Kudu, gerenuk and the prolific bird life features 500 recorded species.

  1. Day 1 TSAVO WEST

    Morning departure from your coastal hotel drive into the Tsavo West National Park surrounded by the Chyulu Hills and the Pare mountains not forgetting the volcanic lava hills, continue with your first morning game viewing en-route to Ngulia Lodge for lunch.

    The lodge is situated spectacularly on the edge of Ndava escarpment, offering a vast panorama at Tsavo’s sweeping plains. Relax at the lodge before the late afternoon game viewing then back to the lodge for dinner and over night. Evening attractions at the lodge include the nightly shift of a local leopard who visits a nearby tree to eat the bait that has been set out by the staff at the lodge.

  2. Day 2 TSAVO WEST-TSAVO EAST

    Morning game viewing include a visit to the Mzima Springs a water spring that obtains most of its waters from Chyulu Hill and Mt. Kilimanjaro, it does produce more than 95 million gallons of water everyday creating home for Hippos, crocodiles and fishes, which can be clearly seen through the glass observation tank.

    Afterwards proceed with your game drive en-route to Tsavo East with game viewing en-route to Voi Lodge for lunch. Relax at the Lodge enjoying a beautiful panoramic view of the Tsavo East National Park from the Lodge built on a hill overlooking some two waterholes which are the attracting a big herd of water buffalos and elephants. Afternoon game viewing with the chance of sighting the wild cats. Back to the Lodge for dinner and overnight.

  3. Day 3 TSAVO EAST-MOMBASA

    Early morning drive before and after breakfast game viewing stop for lunch at a restaurant on your way back to the resort.
