Tsavo East National Park is one of the oldest and largest parks in Kenya at 13,747 square kilometres. Situated in a semi-arid area previously known as the Taru Desert it opened in April 1948, and is located near the town of Voi in the Taita-Taveta County of the former Coast Province. The park is divided into east and west sections by the A109 road and a railway. Named for the Tsavo River, which flows west to east through the national park, it borders the Chyulu Hills National Park, and the Mkomazi Game Reserve in Tanzania..

Itinerary

Day 1 MOMBASA - TSAVO EAST

Wake up early morning from Your resort eating Your breakfast or carry with You a parked one, pick up time 7:30 am . After about a hundred kilometres drive there is a stop over for at least 20 minutes at a restaurant boutique for toilet, cigarret, stretching out and even eating Your parked breakfast.
Proceeding to check in to the Park at around 11:00am the roof will be openned for the first game drive en route to Lion hill safari lodge. Around 13:30 pm You
will be check in to the lodge which is situated just few metres from Voi entrance of the Park at a very unique scenarial on a hill top. Lunch and relaxation until 15:45pm You’ll go for coffee.

Second game drive from 16:00pm to 18:00pm drive back for dinner and over night.
Day 2 Tsavo West

The next day early morning 6:00am coffee 6:15am third game drive until around 8:30am back for breakfast and check out from the lodge.
10:00am the roof closed and drive to Tsavo west Taita hills where You will be check in at a sister lodge of Saltlick game lodge and have Your lunch there at
around 13:00pm then drive to Saltlick for relaxation until 16:15 pm fourth game drive until 18:30pm back for dinner and over night at Sarova Saltlick
game lodge where the wonders are never cease.
Day 3 Back to beach resort

Wake very early 6:00am coffee,6:15am fifth game drive to 8:30am drive back for breakfast and check out from the lodge. 10:00am sixth game drive en route to check out from the Park and drive back to Your beach resort.

NB: A night game drive can be arranged at an extra cost at Saltlick when You
request.
